Arts and Craft Kitchen Island.
December 13th 2020.
Made with some really beautiful Fir wood that thankfully the client was willing to leave unstained and to let that quality shine through. Pleased with how the dimensions worked out as it enables leg room for sitting with stools, maintains a comfortable work height and there was enough room to put in the two draws. Recommended reading for this one is E.P Thompsons biography of William Morris. A romantic who becomes a revolutionary and is also the grandfather of arts and craft!
Size, 30″x 51″ and 38″ in height, made from Fir. Finished with Spar Varnish on counter top and Poly Oil on Base. Draw slides are Bluhm soft closing.
